Another week down. It has been the most interesting to date. Looks like every Friday we are going to get a butt kicking!! Some pretty intense workouts going on, on these days. When this trip is all said and done, I will have a story to share with everyone. But, in the fairness of keeping things quiet, I can’t share that story right now. All I have to say is that I haven’t had SO much adrenaline flowing in a long time. If I happen to have a chance to talk to people, I will share that story. The internet can be seen by so many people, so I don’t want to post it on here. This week seemed to just fly by. I guess that’s a good thing. Right now, nothing is really guaranteed. I just have to keep giving it 110% and know that I gave it my all. I’ve been VERY focused on this so far and lucky that my wife has helped out tremendously. The stress level hasn’t dropped though and I doubt it will. I’ll just keep taking it one day at a time.
Survived another week! We are getting crammed with information. Tons of great information I might add. Today (Friday) we took a bunch of lumps. A little different from what I have been use to, but I made it. Probably the hardest day thus far. Had the first job knowledge test as well and I passed that with flying colors. That caught me by suprise as I wasn’t feeling too confident after taking the test. Still haven’t got use to the uniforms pressing and the boot shining, but it is slowly getting easier. So much information to process… Hope I can sleep this weekend!!
If you know me, then you know what I am talking about. For security reasons, I won’t name the employer directly.
I was pretty nervous throughout the week. I guess that’s just me, trying to be perfect and getting things right the first time. Lots of classroom time, learning TONS of material. A lot of interesting things that I would have not known otherwise and that’s just in the first week. What I enjoy about it is the teamwork that is taking place. While it’s not a gigantic, collective group, we all watch each other’s back. We only had one day of physical activity, and it was great. I hung in there, even though the instructor said he was taking it easy on us!! I just have to keep running to maintain some endurance. It all went by pretty quick and I don’t plan on letting up. I tend to keep at this 110%. I’m sure it will get harder as it goes, but I am confident I can make it.
Today marks and end of a chapter, and start of a new one. Today was my last day working in Hayward. 14-1/2 years!! My first, and only real job out of High School. It was a surreal experience today while I gathered my things. I didn’t want to say goodbye to anyone. I was suprised in the morning by a gift from the employees. Reality hit and I needed to gather myself for a moment. It still doesn’t feel like all of this is happening. I’m sure when Monday comes, I’ll know FOR SURE that this is all for real. To just say I will miss people from work is an understatement. It’s half of my life I am leaving behind. (okay, I know I’m not 29!! lol) I will do my best to keep in touch. If anyone from work is reading this, I wish you luck and I will always keep you in my thoughts. – D
Since I mainly use my .net for pics, I rarely do anything here. If you are just checking things out, I have some BIG changes coming in 2008. First thing is my career change, or should I say, start of an actual career. Almost 15 years at my current job, and I am making the change. SCCDOC, here I come!! Second thing will be fatherhood!! Wifey is 11 weeks along and all appears to be good!! Two life changing events and we are only 2 months into the year!
Went from TEIN S-Tech’s, 17 x 8.5 wheels, and 10mm OTG rear spacers to TEIN Basic coilovers, 15 x 8 wheels, and OTG -3 camber shims. It was a very nice day to work on the box. The drop could have been a bit more, but I’m satisfied with the final product.
I’ve had these bad boys since early December.. Have had tires on them for a few weeks now.
Work Equip 01′s. 15 x 8 all around with a 25 offset upfront and 10 in the back. An “A” disc up front and an “O” in the back. Tires are 205/50/15 Falken Ziex 512′s. To make the toaster sit just right, I got some TEIN basics on the way. Should have everything on the box just in time for good weather!
UPDATE: Works – check.. TEIN’s – check.. OTG Camber Shims – check.. Good Weather – Check.. This stuff is going in 3/3!!!!!
Okay… I FINALLY got access to this thing.. Took a minute so I suppose I’ll just run with it…
